Nowadays, according to psychologists, more and more people are becoming visually inclined. In other words, most of us love to use our eyes!
In what ways do we use our eyes for?
We use our eyes to see things in our environment. However, through time, man has devised ways regarding how to preserve the things we view, whether these are beautiful or not, and one of which is by way of using cameras.
Nowadays, the biggest sellers in the camera market are the so-called digital SLR cameras.
Just what is an SLR camera?
SLR is an acronym for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras were the tools made for and used by professional photographers. Cameras such as these, similarly, make use of mirror that reflects light entering the lens up into the eye piece or the viewfinder. Thus, a photographer can gauge how the image or picture may be like. Moreover, a SLR camera uses lenses that are interchangeable. Hence, this camera may be used for long distance telephoto photography or close-up macro photography.
A digital SLR or DSLR camera is dependent on lenses and mirror and their optical capabilities. However a DSLR camera uses light sensor chips and digital memory cards instead of films, basically a computerized version of the abovementioned camera.
The following summarizes the comparison between DSLR and point and shoot cameras (SLRs):
1.DSLRs and SLRs use interchangeable lenses for better resolution.
2.Any picture you take using SLRs and DSLRs is usually crisper, cleaner and fine upon reproduction.
3.DSLRs have a higher speed with regards to focusing and taking pictures
4.DSLRs perform better at low lighting conditions by using ISO speeds. These cameras have lesser granularity.
5.DSLRS provide more professional power over depth of field, light, and responsiveness.
6.DSLRs give a more immediate feedback as they use digital chips or light sensing CCDs that translate incoming light rays into digital pictures.
7.DSLRs and SLRs cost more than point and shoot cameras.
8.DSLRs and SLRs are usually heavier than some point and shoot models.

Who actually wants DSLRs? Anyone wants to have crisper and clearer pictures-be it a hobbyist or a professional photographer can opt for a DSLR model. Anyone who will not bother carrying bigger cameras on trips in order to bring back topnotch photos can make use of DSLRs.
Like all electronic and computerized gadgets, digital models tend to get cheaper yet better over time. For sure, DSLRs will eventually migrate down to consumer cameras: ability to take bursts of 10 frames in a few seconds, quick response time, higher resolution image sensors, and accurate auto-focus, among others.
The only thing that will remain constant are the laws of optics-you will not get the same results from a finger-nail sized lens as with larger lenses used by professional users. Also the fact that people do not have enough money all the time remains the same through time.
If you plan to take photography as a profession, practice shooting some shots using prosumers models and consider budget and quality of lenses before you say, "Big Cheese"!

I want revenge on my ex girlfriend!!!?
Ok, first off if you're only gonna answer and say things like, "grow up", "Don't get revenge", etc. save my time and yours cause either way I'm gonna get the revenge I'm seeking, I'm just looking for ideas. I was with this girl from December of '09-April of '11. I've tried just letting it go and moving on but still to this day I'm so angry at her I can't stand it! The first year everything was wonderful. I was always good to her, bought her roses at LEAST once a week, left her notes on her car at school, took her on trips, bought her an iPod touch for her birthday with beats by dre headphones, a Canon Digital Camera for Christmas, and a promise ring that cost me $600. But she started nursing school and things changed really fast. She went from being so sweet and loving to where she was hateful almost all the time, she would fuss that I kissed her goodnight too long, and she COMPLETELY stopped having sex with me. Well after our breakup, she had the nerve to ask me if she could keep my promise ring to show her kids one day and when I'd call and try to work things out, she'd yell at me and slam the phone down. I saw her at an apartment building one day with a guy that she had grown up with and she hid until I saw her and then ran inside and slammed the door, later testing me and telling me that she just didn't want me to think she was looking for another guy (when we broke up she said that it was because she didn't want a relationship while she was in college). Well guess who she's started dating 2 weeks later? That guy. And to top it off, she spreads around to everybody that I lied all the time to her (I never ONCE lied to her) and that I mistreated her (never ONCE mistreated her). I don't wanna hurt her boyfriend cause it's not his fault, but I do want revenge on her and I want it served as cold as possible. Her new boyfriend is a doctors son and I KNOW that she's just with him for the money cause he's blind in one eye, has severe acne, and is EXTERMELY nerdy.

With any high magnification binoculars, most users will experience frustrating image shake. Unless fixed to a tripod, image shake can render high magnification binoculars useless. Canon's IS technology is remarkably effective at eliminating this problem and is widely used by the television industry with Canon's professional broadcast quality video recording equipment. A special VAP (Vari-Angle Prism) corrective IS system sits between the objective lens group and the porro prism on each side of the binoculars. Within thousandths of a second of the binoculars being moved from their optical axis by vibrations, a detection system activates the IS mechanism. The VAP shape alters to refract or 'bend' the light path by precisely the right amount, thus fully compensating for the vibration. It is this essentially immediate response that effectively suppresses image shake.
Super Spectra Coating
A number of optical factors affect the brightness of an image, including the amount of incidental light that is reflected by the lens. An uncoated lens will refelect away as much as 8% of the incidentail light, significantly dimming the image. Canon's Super Spectra Coating prevents that reflection.
What do the numbers mean?
15x50? 8x25? The two numbers used to describe any pair of binoculars are their magnification — 8x, 12x, 15x and so on — and the diameter of their objective lenses — 25mm, 36mm, 50mm, and so on. The larger the first number is, the larger the object will appear to be in the objective lens. For instance, if you use a 10x lens and look at an object that is 100 yards away, it appears to be the same size as an object located just 10 yards away. The second number, the size of the objective lens, is important because the larger the objective lens, the more light it can admit for brighter, more detailed images, and the better suited they will be for lowlight situations.

Nikon's Capture NX 2 software is a full-featured, nondestructive photo-editing program that gives photographers all the tools they need to quickly and easily edit their photographs. Also available in a reduced-price upgrade version (requires a valid serial number from v1.x), the software offers such editing features as color control points, selection control points, an auto-retouch brush, and shadow/highlight adjustment. Enhancing the hue, brightness, and saturation of an image is as simple as placing a color control point on your image, then adjusting the length of the sliders. For example, color control points are a remarkably convenient way to change the color of flowers to look better against green surrounding foliage. As an alternative, editors can take a dull gray sky and add blue to change the mood of a captured scene. The selection control points, meanwhile, let you selectively edit photographs without manually outlining or masking the area for editing. Simply place a selection control point anywhere on the photograph, and then choose from almost any adjustment, including D-Lighting, Unsharp Mask, or Noise Reduction, while limiting the 'reach" of that adjustment to just the selected area.
Capture NX 2 also adds an automatic retouch tool to its image editing toolbox, allowing users to seamlessly remove blemishes, dust, and other distracting elements from photographs while maintaining the integrity of the image. And thanks to the shadow/highlight adjustment, you can easily open up shadows or recover blown-out highlights. Highlight recovery is most effective for RAW (NEF) files; however, it will work with JPEG and TIFF files as well.
The software's redesigned v2 interface includes such features as customized workspaces, an improved toolbar function and layout, improved edit list functionality, a redesigned image browser with a favorites folder, and improved image resolution adjustments. The software's holdover features from v1.x range include black/white/neutral control points, color management control, color aberration control, distortion control, a color booster, contrast/brightness adjustment, a saturation/warmth adjustment, black-and-white conversion, straighten and crop tools, and much more.
Finally, Capture NX 2 features award-winning U Point technology for precision selection and application of enhancements without complicated selections or layer masks. Designed to closely match the way photographers work with their images, Capture NX2 is easy to learn and creates the highest-quality results. | These days, almost all cameras have an Exposure Compensation control, which simply lets you make a relative exposure change. That is, you can tell the camera, "I don't care how you metered the scene; I just want you to go up from there by one stop." Try using exposure compensation now: 1. Frame a shot. 2. Press the shutter button down halfway to meter your scene (the camera will also autofocus and take a white balance reading). 3. After the camera beeps, the viewfinder and status LCD will show you the shutter speed and aperture settings that it has calculated. 4. Take the shot. 5. Now frame the same shot, and again press the shutter button halfway down to meter the scene. 6. Using your thumb, press the Exposure Compensation button on the back of the camera. Dial in a specific amount of over- or underexposure. |

| Food For Thought: What's Wrong With Over- or Underexposing? Of course, once you start tinkering with the camera's carefully concocted exposure settings, you run the risk of over- or underexposing your scene to the point where bright things blow out to complete white or where dark shadows fall to complete black. When an area in your image goes to all white or all black, it becomes an area with no detail. Detail in a photo is constructed from contrasting tones, and when part of an image is one color, it looks like a flat surface. In the case of shadows, this isn't so bad. A black shadow simply looks like an area that's too dark to see. Unless there's some detail in the shadowy area that you really want to keep visible, letting a shadow darken is not too terrible. Overexposed highlights, though, are almost always distracting. An area of complete white acts like a magnet for the viewer's eye and can sometimes upstage your subject. However, at times it's worth overexposing a highlight to get better tonality on your subject. Also, a little bit of overexposed bright spotsâsmall bits of chrome on a car, for exampleâwon't necessarily be noticeable. While there are no hard and fast rules about how much over- or underexposure is too much (and many times, overexposing an image can be an effective stylistic choice), it's important to understand the risk and make an intelligent decision. Now go into playback mode and look at the two images. The second one should be much brighter than the first one. This is the image that was over exposed. Note that you didn't tell the camera a specific shutter speed or aperture. Instead, you simply told it to go up one stop from whatever it thought was the correct exposure. The T1i has an exposure compensation range of -2 stops to +2 stops. By default, the control moves in 1/3-stop increments. When you use exposure compensation, you don't actually know exactly how the camera will achieve its over- or underexposure, but the camera does follow a predictable method. It will always try to achieve its change in a way that doesn't involve a shutter speed that might be too slow for handheld use. Remember, a slower shutter speed means that the shutter is open longer, which means that your images are more susceptible to the blurring and softening caused by shakiness in your hand. If you have the ISO set to Auto, the T1i will often effect the change by altering the ISO setting, but it will never do this to the point of introducing noise into your image. Because there's no visible difference between ISO 100 and 400, the T1i has two stops of ISO latitude to play with, meaning it will often keep the shutter speed and aperture the same as you change exposure compensation. |
